The aim of the Master in Political Science & International Relations is to develop and expand basic knowledge and skills for scientific research within the areas of political science and international relations.
International Relations is a field of study that deals with relations between, outside and across states. It is concerned with world affairs and attempts to explain the intricate nature of global politics. It goes beyond nation-states and involves non-state actors like social movements, corporations and advocacy groups. International Relations is increasingly concerned with the issues of the present day, such as human growth, terrorism, inequality and climate change.

Academically and professionally, graduates of Master in Political Science & International Relations will gain the following professional competencies:
Understanding political, social, economic, and cultural processes involved in international development; critically examining international development strategies; participating in international development projects; elaborating and implementing alternative development projects through civil society organizations; strengthening the institutional capacity of the actors involved in the Sustainable Development Goals agenda and in the Official Development Assistance; understanding the complexity of international development as a multidimensional process, involving economic, social, gender, cultural, anthropological, and ethical dimensions; design research projects in local and international development; promote international development goals.
